Overview
Sree Nataraja Prathistana was established in the year 1986 with the principle objective of promoting modern education particularly among girls and women coming from rural areas. The Prathistana is functioning under the aegis of and sponsored by Sree Hosamath, an ancient religious monastery, its present head being Sri Chidananda Swamiji who is also the president of Sree Nataraja Prathistana, Mysore. Sri Swamiji is the guiding spirit behind the present multilayered educational activities and programs taken up by Sree Nataraja Prathistana at present.
At Mysore alone the Prathistana is running a First Grade College for Women with M.Com, Post-Graduate Center, which was established in the year of 1994-95 by His Holiness Sri. Chidananda swamiji, the president of Sree Nataraja Prathistana, Mysuru. Our college offers both UG and PG courses namely B.A, B.COM, and M.COM, which affiliated to University of Mysore.
The main motto of our institution is imparting value-based quality education to rural economically backward girl’s students at affordable cost to become humane, cultural, creative and citizens of the society. Always our teachers encourage students to develop their talents, leadership qualities through academic and extra-curricular activities like sports, NSS, Cultural Forum, Arts and Commerce Forum comprise every year. Our college provides other certificate courses like E-commerce, Taxation, Dress designing, Vachana Kammata and it has study center of Karnataka State Open University.
To begin with, the institution had 21 students now it’s reached 500. In the year of 2003 under UGC Act 1956 our institution Granted 2 (f) 12 (B). In the year of 2001-2002 our college permanently got Affiliated to University of Mysore, to our B.A. course.
Our college has spacious class rooms, Seminar Hall, Computer lab, Auditorium, Library with rich volume of books. There is a hostel facility for rural and economically backward students with spacious rooms, cleanliness, water facilities and providing hygienic and delicious food with good ambience which can accommodate 250 students.
